Abs actually
play a important role in the body for fitness lovers as when an individual
picks heavy weights the abs support the heavy weight so it is also important to
train your abdominal muscles along with other parts of the body.
Here in this
article I will share with you some exercises known as “Side Bridge”, there are
also many other abdominal exercises but Side Bridge exercises actually help
build your side abdominal muscles.

Normally
when an individual does weight training it is recommended to do at least 2
variations of a particular exercise, here I will tell about three different
variations and you can try any 2 at the time of abdominal workout.
| Kneeling Side Bridges |
1. Kneeling side bridges: In this
variation abdominal exercise lie on the side with the support of your forearm
on the ground and your elbow under the shoulder. Then bend your knees 90
degrees which you can easily understand by its name “Kneeling Side Bridge”. Then
next just push your body up with the support of your forearms, keep your abs
stiff throughout the exercise. Then just go in the direction up and down and
you can understand its effect on your abs.

2. Side Bridge: It is the basic exercise
in which you need to again lie with your forearms facing the ground as well as
supporting your body, the keep your legs straight rather than kneeling them
like in the above and move your body up and down with the support of your
forearms.

3. Elevated Side Bridge: It is one of
the variations of Side Bridge in which an individual requires a bench. It is
same like the normal side bridge exercise but the only difference is that the
legs are to be placed on the bench and do not allow your hips to drop, let them
be straight.
